| Which apps compete with mine for the same searches? | /v1/apps/competitors: apps ranking for the same keywords, with how many they share and their average rank on them. |
| How many people search for these keywords I thought of? | /v1/apps/keywords/volume: store search volume for up to 25 keywords a call. |
Send "store": "google" for Google Play; the answers have the same shape.
Research an app in three calls
- See who ranks for a keyword that describes the app.
curl -s https://searchwire.dev/v1/apps/search \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $SEARCHWIRE_KEY" -H "content-type: application/json" \ -d '{"keyword": "pixelate image", "depth": 10}' - Read the keywords of the apps on top. Each answer is a list of keywords people search, with volume, that this kind of app can rank for.
curl -s https://searchwire.dev/v1/apps/keywords \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $SEARCHWIRE_KEY" -H "content-type: application/json" \ -d '{"app_id": "964220645", "limit": 100}' - Find more apps to read with
/v1/apps/competitors, then pick keywords with volume where the apps on top have few ratings.
With the skill installed, an agent does this on its own when you ask, for example: "Find App Store keywords for a photo redaction app: who ranks for redact and blur photo, what else those apps rank for, and which keywords have volume but weak apps on top."

App Store and Google, side by side
The same key answers for Google search, so an agent can compare where the demand is before you decide between an app and a web page.

| blur image | 397 | 22,200 |
| pixelate image | 270 | 12,100 |

Asked on 11 Oct 2026. For this kind of tool people search the web far more than the store.
What the numbers are
- Apple and Google do not publish search volumes for their stores. The volumes here are a data supplier's estimates, refreshed weekly. Use them to compare keywords, not as exact counts.
- Keywords, volumes and competitors cover the United States in English. Search results are available for other countries too.
- An app's ranks come from the weekly collection, so they can be a few places off what the store shows today;
/v1/apps/searchfetches the store's results when you ask. - Every answer says where it came from and when it was fetched. When nothing is on record for a keyword, the answer says so instead of guessing.
